The Masonic Journey | A Living Inquiry

Exploring tradition, philosophy, and the modern expression of the Craft

Freemasonry is a living inquiry. It is not a fixed tradition, but a way of The Lamp of Knowledge ~ Seek and Ye Shall Findthinking that asks us to pay

closer attention to the world around us. Meaning is often found in unexpected places, whether in the geometry of ancient architecture, the ideas carried through modern music, science fiction, or the ongoing discoveries of science itself. The Craft continues to reflect how we observe, interpret, and build our understanding of life.

This site exists as a space for that ongoing work. It brings together my writing, including The Masonic Odyssey series, along with broader reflections on how Masonic principles show up in everyday life. That might be through craftsmanship, history, storytelling, or the practical lessons found in pursuits like yachting and navigation. The intention is not to present Freemasonry as distant or symbolic alone, but as something active, lived, and still relevant.

Alongside these essays, I host the Norm McEvoy Library. This archive preserves a body of research and work that deserves to remain accessible, not only as reference material, but as something that can still inform thought and discussion today.

Take your time here. Read what draws your attention. The value is not just in what is written, but in what it leaves you thinking about after you step away.
